Juba
Juba is the capital and largest city of South Sudan, with a rapidly growing population swelled by internal displacement from conflict across the country. The city's health infrastructure is severely strained, and existing facility data is fragmented across multiple humanitarian actors with no single verified source.
Campaign Objectives
- Conduct a complete census of all health facilities in Greater Juba
- Verify facility type, services offered, operational status, and GPS location
- Cross-reference data with Ministry of Health and UN agency records
- Publish a unified, open dataset on OpenStreetMap
Why Juba First
Juba serves as the primary entry point for humanitarian supply chains and medical referrals across South Sudan. Accurate facility data here has an outsized impact on national health system coordination.
Partners
This campaign will be delivered in close partnership with the South Sudan Ministry of Health, WHO South Sudan, and local community health networks.
